Welcome to Kevin’s Community Center (KCC) and thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Clinic. KCC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free primary health care services to uninsured and underinsured, low income, Newtown Resident adults who are over the age of 16. Laboratory and radiological services are also provided free of charge by Danbury Hospital and Housatonic Valley Radiological Services for eligible patients. Most Prescription medications are offered free of charge from our stock samples or are filled at Drug Center Pharmacy of Newtown at Discounted rates. KCC is staffed by a team of Volunteer Doctors, APRNs, PAs, Nurses, and other Administrative volunteers. In addition, Volunteer Specialists, who are a part of the Network of Refferals, will see Clinic patients in their own offices, at no cost to KCC Clinic or to our patients. KCC carries its own professional liability insurance, in addition to premises, fire insurance, and worker’s compensation to its employed staff. |
There is one primary care clinic session per week: Wednesdays from 1:00 to 5 P.M. Each clinic session is staffed by one physician, one or two nurses, one social worker and one “screener”, in addition to other volunteers. We look forward to any comments or suggestions you may have.
